If you are considering a trip to Africa, either your first photo safari or a return trip take a look at these galleries of guests’ photos and you will understand what can be achieved on a trip to the famous Masai Mara run especially for photographers.
Not all such trips are the same. On this 9 day trip I take no more than 8 people with only 4 per specially adapted completely open sided landcruiser thus giving everyone ample opportunities for superb photographs. Read the guests feedback / testimonials to understand the difference. With my long experience of the region and special arrangements with the camps this is also one of the cost effective trips currently available.
The Masai Mara is deservedly known as Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve, and is famous for the abundance of lion, the other big cats, the Great Wildebeest Migration and the Masai people. It is without a doubt Africa’s most well know and famous safari destination.
This is a very popular trip and a true introduction to Africa. Each trip will be limited to a maximum of 8 people and is often less. We stay at Kicheche Mara Camp, a classic luxury tented camp hidden in a beautiful acacia valley where guests are treated to fantastic hospitality and superb photo opportunities. Located in a prime wildlife area, in a private conservancy, game viewing starts frequently in the camp itself. Being a private conservancy gives unique opportunities to photograph the animals without the hindrance of lots of other competing vehicles and photographers which are so often found in other areas.
These are just a few of the photos guests took on previous trips. Each are grouped by guest who has written a brief note about themselves and their experiences. Some have included contact details in case you wish to contact them to buy what are true masterpieces. Take a while to browse and enjoy their work. Select a particular year’s gallery and then an individual photographer to view their work. Clicking on a thumbnail will display their photos in greater detail.
Where the photographer has provided their e-mail do take a moment to tell them how much you enjoyed their photograph.

Tony Ware – Frequent traveller with Natures Photos
Tony has joined me on many safaris and it’s always a great joy to have him along. Take a look at some of his galleries for other safaris in addition to his safaris in Kenya.
In 2020 Tony said “This was my second safari in Africa and my first time to Kenya. Should have experienced this earlier in life as was everything I hoped it would be. The wildlife, country, people, camp . . . everything was a joy. I will return again”. He did in 2022!

Pat and Andrew Griffin – Frequent travellers with Natures Photos
Andrew and his wife Pat have joined me on very many safaris and its are always an absolute delight to have them along. They are great fun and great company and both really love the wildlife and the safari experience.
Andrew is an accomplished photographer always happy to share his skill and enthusiasm. Pat is an accomplished videographer and brings back her memories as videos which Andrew edits to produce a final product which would look good on any BBC wildlife programme.
To showcase their safaris and other trips Andrew maintains a website and YouTube channel where you can see all the excellent photos and videos they produce – take a look at it at https://ajpgriffin.wixsite.com/ajgriffin/untitled.
